A cooperation agreement was signed between the SCO People's Diplomacy Center in Uzbekistan and the Belarusian Peace Foundation

A round table "Uzbekistan – Belarus: Time-tested friendship" was held at the House of "Friendship" in Minsk, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus, the correspondent of the news agency "Doone" NA reports.
According to the SCO People's Diplomacy Center, the event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belarus and the Belarusian Peace Foundation.
During the round table, prospects for the implementation of joint Belarusian and Uzbek programs, cooperation between educational institutions of Minsk and Tashkent on the preservation of historical memory, bilateral projects in the field of artistic creativity and publishing, issues of interaction between education and science were discussed. It was about the contribution of the poet Yakub Kolas to the rapprochement of the peoples of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the event, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Center for People's Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Uzbekistan and the Belarusian Peace Foundation.
At the end of the round table, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus Alexander Karlyukevich was awarded the badge "People's Diplomat" of the SCO Center for People's Diplomacy for his high achievements in strengthening Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation.
