I am pleased to welcome all participants of the next Central Asia - European Union leaders’ meeting.
I would like to echo the words of thanks to the President of Kyrgyz Republic distinguished Sadyr Nurgojoevich Japarov for excellent organization of the summit and traditional warm and cordial hospitality extended to us in Cholpon-Ata – one of the most scenic places in our region.

I would like to join my colleagues in expressing the words of gratitude to President Xi Jinping for the initiative to hold the first face-to-face meeting in the Central Asia-China format and for the traditionally warm and cordial welcome.
I would also like to thank the President of China for organizing this meeting in beautiful city of Xi'an, one of the ancient cities in the world and the capital of great Chinese empires.
